Whether it’s your first time or you’ve ridden before, choosing the right outfit will make a huge difference in comfort, safety, and fun.
1. Swimwear Is a Must
Your base layer should always be a well-fitted swimsuit or bikini. You’ll definitely get wet, and bulky clothes will only get in the way. Go for quick-drying, secure options—think sports-style swimwear that stays in place.
2. Rash Guards or Quick-Dry Shirts
For extra sun protection (and less sunscreen hassle), bring a UV-protective rash guard or a quick-dry T-shirt. It helps prevent sunburn, especially during midday tours.
3. Water Shoes or Barefoot?
Most jet ski operators in Mallorca allow barefoot riding, but water shoes can give you better grip and protect your feet during beach landings. Avoid flip-flops—they’ll likely fly off mid-ride.
4. Sunglasses with a Strap
It gets bright out there. Polarized sunglasses help reduce glare, but make sure you bring a floating strap so they don’t end up at the bottom of the sea.
5. Leave the Hats Behind
Hats and caps often get blown away. Opt for a tight headband or go without—it’s better than losing your favorite cap at 50 km/h.
6. What About Wetsuits?
During the warmer months (June to September), you won’t need one. But if you're touring in spring or early autumn, check with your operator—some provide wetsuits if needed.
7. Don’t Forget Waterproof Sunscreen
Okay, it’s not “clothing,” but it’s essential. Apply a high-SPF waterproof sunscreen before the tour starts. Reapply afterward if you’re spending more time in the sun.
